Find Feed Restore

Find, Feed & Restore purchases and accepts donations of travel trailers and utilizes them to take homeless families with children who live in cars or in tents and place them into a stable environment within an RV park in the suburbs of Central Florida. They are allowed to stay rent and utilities free for 4 months while receiving free case management services that include financial budgeting classes, credit report education, economic meal planning, interview preparation, resume writing along with professional counseling. After a 4-month period, the client will begin to pay lot rent and utilities for their low income supportive housing as a building block to becoming self-sufficient.

New Beginnings Youth Shelter

The shelter offers an emergency shelter for youth experiencing abuse/neglect, homelessness, at-risk behaviors such as running away, un-governability either at home or school, truancy, and youth in foster care who have experienced a disruption in their foster placement. The primary goal of the program is to empower families and youth to address these behaviors and provide a safe transition back into the home or alternative placement. Shelter staff are trained to assist youth and families to make positive life changes.

Citrus Cold Weather Shelter

Emergency shelter is opened when the temperature is due to drop below 40°. Shelter doors open at 7:00 p.m., a light dinner and breakfast are provided, and residents have to leave at 6:00 a.m. Those in the city of Hernando can get a ride from the Family Resource Center at 2435 N Florida Ave, Hernando. [Look for the snowflake flag to know if the shelter is going to be open that evening.]
